+ Preparing for an on campus Review you itinerary multiple times and in detail Know the institutions mission, vision, and values Have a good understanding of the department in which you are interviewing in You interview starts as soon as you are picked up. Always have 3-4 questions for each interview throughout the day Typical Questions asked: Why this institution? How are you qualified for the position? What do you hope to gain professionally from this position? What is your management style? Describe your ideal supervisor What do you feel are the major problems facing college students today?

+ Interview 101 Be Intentional don’t sacrifice your values to land the job Be Genuine you will never find the right fit if you are not yourself Don’t Underestimate your Graduate Assistantship You have directly advised students You have dealt with conflict You have developed benchmarks Ask the right questions What does a typical work day look like? How does the structure of the office work? Who do I report to? Do your homework What is the Greek population currently struggling with? How does the administration support Greek Life? Do they? + The “ Adjustment” You landed the job… Where am I going to live? How do I budget? How do I meet people? How will I manage my time?
