Customizing your StickyFish Blackjack Game

Your blackjack game is highly customizable, and can be branded very tightly to your station or for an advertiser. High quality designs will take strong graphics knowledge, but the implementation is easy!

Let’s take a look at the components of the blackjack game, and some notes about how to design for them. Zones: These areas are outlined as representations of the available zones you can fill in your blackjack administration. Typical use would be inserting ad tags into these areas to monetize them, and as a result not designing in this area. Potential uses for designing in this area would be if you have sold a sponsorship and you want to brand the entire graphic piece to the sponsor. Table Props: Used in-game as placeholders for card dealing animations and more. It’s recommended to leave these as be, but just make sure to leave them where they are if you design new ones. Background: Bottom-most layer, backdrop for the game. Can be very simple or complex, your call! Felt: This is where all the action happens. Cards and messaging all appear here. Most messaging and graphics are white with drop shadows, so its recommended to stay away from very light colors, although using them is still possibly. Table: Provides boundaries for where the game is played. Typically presented in the circular fashion, but you could in theory get rid of the boundary and extend the felt all the way out.

How to use the PSD file: Design: The PSD is documented and all layers are labeled, so its recommended to design in the specific layers for ease of use. The MENU layer should not be edited or exported. These are graphics that are hard-built into the game. Use this layer for a visual representation of how your finished game will look. The ZONES layers are simply bounding boxes to show you where the zones will be if you input content or ad tags in the respective zones from the blackjack administration page. You can choose to design graphics that will be apart of your design in this area, but note that it could be covered up if content/code is inserted in the backend. Export Process: 1.When finished designing, make sure the INSTRUCTIONS and MENU layers have been hidden. 2.Layers that should be visible are is GAME and optionally ZONES (if anything was designed in that space) 3.Choose File > Save for Web 4.Export as a JPG with 70 Quality for the best compromise between size and quality. Now, simply upload the full graphic into the BACKGROUND area of GAME APPEARANCE in the blackjack administration screen, and your game will be skinned with your new graphic! Have fun!
