Breast Cancer Spanish High Resolution (HR) Study invasive breast cancers cases in females. Study years: 2004 and 2005 (mainly in 2005). Vital status (updated up to 31st December 2010 through linkage to the National Death Index). Coverage: 20% of the total female Spanish population.

Funding: research grant of the Spanish Health Ministry (coordinated project) Research Plans & Publications: –Distribution and prognosis of molecular breast cancer subtypes defined by immunohistochemical biomarkers in a Spanish population-based study (Responsible: Girona) –Comorbidities and breast cancer survival: a multicentric study in Spain (Responsible: Murcia) –Standard care for female breast cancer: A Multicentre High Resolution Study across Spain (Responsible: Granada)

Future Plans within the Spanish High Resolution Study To collect information on incident colorrectal cancer cases, diagnosed during To apply for funding at a national level (Spanish Ministry of Health; March 2013) Some Spanish cancer registries have already applied for funding at a regional level: resolution still pending. However, if necessary, some registries will consider contributing to this study using their own resources.
