About the course  This course is designed to help you with a practical writing skills.  In this course you will learn to:  prepare posters,  take notes,  develop CV,  coomunciate via letters and s,  summarize, quote, paraphraze,  prepare an essay and a report.

What is practical writing?  PW is different from GW mainly beacause when you use PW:  each type has a regular form,  simplicity in style,  its briefness in form.

Readability and empahsis  Choose your font and size carefully (6 m rule),  Avoid using complex fonts,  Type size can create hierarchy and create contrast,  Try not to overuse CASE, bold, underline, Italic.

Which programs to use?  For simple posters:  Microsoft Word (tutorial:  Paint,  PowerPoint.  More complex programs:  Illustrator,  Photoshop,  Special programs.

Task  You will create poster in groups.  You will present it to the class.
