DINATEC Diversified Nutri-Agri Technologies, Inc. Presented by Dr. Martin Moreira, Ph. D. Advanced Chromium Utilization Technology

DINAKROME is an organic chromium preparation combined with a 100% natural urease inhibitor. WHAT IS The ideal source of the essential trace element Chromium. DINAKROME is of great practical importance to the feed industry. It's importance was recognized following in depth nutritional studies into the bioactivity of chromium in human health and nutrition & the important role that urease inhibitors play in growth and feed conversion.

Dinakrome has the ability to inhibit the urease enzyme thereby reducing intestinal ammonia levels by more than 50% which in turn reduces P.T.T. by 50%. High intestinal ammonia levels promote rapid turnover of portal tissue. Rapid turnover of P.T. increases non productive demand for nutrients required to sustain the cycle ADVANTAGES OF UREASE INHIBITORS IN DINAKROME Reduced P.T. T. increases growth & feed conversion

The results of this work lead to a number of fascinating discoveries, and influenced animal nutritionists in their approach and use of organic chromium in diet formulation. These human studies were at least 15 years before studies and interest in chromium as a supplemental nutrient. A group in the Department of Animal and Poultry Science, University of Guelph conducted research into the activity of organic chromium in animal nutrition. ADVANTAGES OF ORGANIC CHROMIUM

DINAKROME offers a high quality useable and available source of chromium for swine, cattle (dairy and beef), and horses. How does it work? It decreases the level of blood cortisol indicating a reduction in the effects of stress, as well as potentiation of insulin to control blood glucose levels, thus preventing diabetes.

Not only was lean increased and fat decreased, but serum cholesterol was also reduced. The benefits of the added chromium were substantial and the work has given reason for further research to define more accurately the responses of pigs to dietary chromium. Research has found benefits in swine production to be related to performance improvements, particularly increased meat deposition. An experiment at Louisiana State University shows improvements in carcass quality with the addition of organic chromium to the diet.

Increases lean %, BENEFITS decreases fat, and reduces serum cholesterol levels.

DINAKROME (300 ppm organic Cr.) is the ideal supplement, at the rate of 300 gm./ton for swine, Conclusion: Increasing muscle development, reducing back fat, and serum cholesterol.

CATTLE BENEFITS Increase weight gains Increase immunoglobulin levelsLower serum cortisol Increase cell mediated immunity Increase antibody response to commercial live attenuated vaccines Reduce days to first heat Increase milk protein levels Helps to Improve rumen function

Early lactating cows receiving supplemental organic Chromium had superior cell mediated immunity Compiled from research performed at the Department of Animal and Poultry Science, University of Guelph 24% increase live weight gain during first 28 days in feedlot 82% increase live weight gain during first 28 days in feedlot among heavy stressed cattle Increased milk protein in first lactation cows Reduced days to first heat in older lactation cows Increased antibody response to vaccines Increase in immunoglobin levels BENEFITS OF DINAKROME YEAST IN CATTLE PRODUCTION

Effects of supplemental chromium on blood glucose changes following propionate infusion in first parity cows DINAKROME An 11% increase in milk production for first parity cows is not uncommon with DINAKROME

DINAKROME (300 ppm organic Cr.) is the essential supplement for finishing cattle and lactating cows. Conclusion: Use before, during and after stress Use before any vaccination program

Chromium is recognized as an essential nutrient. SUMMARY Stressed animals show increases in cortisol, which is reduced when supplemental organic Cr is added. Livestock trials using organic chromium have shown benefits in relation to supplementation in stressed animals. The key to whether or not diets provide sufficient available chromium is stress. Stress often leads to an increase in glucose metabolism, which in turn leads to and increased need for chromium.

Recommended Dose Levels Mix with feed at feed mixer Species Feed Type Grams/ton Swine Starter * Swine Grower/Finisher ** Poultry Dairy & Beef Cattle Horses * Use before any vaccination program **Use before, during, and after stress
