Adding a Signal Phrase – this phrase announces the quote “there is only so much that teachers can do, students must work hard to improve” (89). Paraphrasing Paraphrasing is when an individual takes the words of someone else (in an EBSCO article for example) and puts the idea into their own words. Because the idea is not originally their thoughts they must still give credit where credit is due.
