The first photograph is made.

First machine patented to show animated pictures. First called the zoopraxiscope.

The first motion picture camera is created.

The cheap lightweight Kodiak camera is created.

First projector is created by the Edison company. (Only person can view at a time.)

A new projector that can project moving pictures on to a screen is invented. They started charging for shows.

Henry Miles sets up the worlds first film exchange.(Allows people to rent films instead of buying them.)

Edwin Porter helps shift film production to more of a story based idea.

First movie theater to only show motion pictures is opened; it was called Nickelodeon.

First animated cartoon is produced.

There is over 9,000 movie theaters in the US in 1909.

First movie with voice\sound starts showing in theaters.

1923\ invented The first Television is created.

First video recorder invented.
