Demographics of Lincoln Heights As of May 2014 – 540 students enrolled  53.1% male  46.9% female  74.0% white .8% American Indian/Alaska Native  2.8% Asian/Pacific Islander  1.1% black  10.5% Hispanic  10.7% two or more races

 Special Programs 55.4% receive free or reduced lunches 19.3% special education services 7.0% English Language Learners Demographics of Lincoln Heights

Why this Program?  Decrease drop out rates  Promote positive male role models in the school  Offer every child a positive connection to a father or father figure  89% of schools that have implemented feel it is a valuable component of their effort to promote a safe and positive learning environment; 79% of have seen an increase in father involvement beyond the Watch DOGS program; and 52% have seen a decrease in behavioral problems

Watch DOG Responsibilities  Spend a whole day: Patrolling the campus Assisting in unloading and loading cars Reading and working on flash cards with students Being a referee at recess Eating lunch side by side with the students Sharing about your career and other activities
