2011 Program Review Strategic focus on local roadway safety launched Active partner in EDC -- leveraged from our participation in EDC summit meetings LPA effort across the country increased Focus on technology transfer Knowledge sharing culture among Centers expanded TTAP strategic initiative advanced

2011 Successes Centers helped to make EDC a success for locals: Received highest praise from FHWA for coordinating the EDC Summits A key partner in the State-based Implementation Teams Leveraged the knowledge gained to help local agencies, most notably in Safety Edge and Warm Mix Asphalt Not done yet… More Centers are engaged in LPA issues with local agencies Approximately half working with their state Training tools coming in the fall Centers continue to embrace knowledge sharing Nearly 300 Seminar Room sessions since 2009 Close to 3,000 records added to the Resource Database

Strategic Focus on Safety What does this mean for LTAP/TTAP Centers? Adopt the focused approach on safety Select activities from the menu of safety initiatives – or offer additional activities – for action in 2011 and beyond Integrate efforts into Center work plans Assess the effectiveness of these efforts annually Add new safety work plan items each year as necessary
