Citizenship Presentation By 8KW

Citizenship is very important to be taught in schools because it helps create a personality for a person, which will end up shaping their life. Citizenship is all about making people think about the future, and their jobs. It is all about shaping a person. Pretty much all secondary schools are being taught citizenship, as decided by the law (see picture below). Introduction

Citizenship Education has three strands: Social and moral responsibility: pupils learn, from the beginning, self-confidence and socially and morally responsible behaviour, both in and beyond the classroom, towards those in authority and each other Community involvement: pupils learn how to become helpfully involved in the life and concerns of their neighbourhood and communities, including learning through community involvement and service Political literacy: pupils learn about the institutions, issues, problems and practices of our democracy and how citizens can make themselves effective in public life, locally, regionally, and nationally, through skills as well as knowledge. Citizenship Education

Citizenship is being taught in schools because after some school inspectors inspected around 25 schools, they found out that over half didn’t know the meaning of citizenship. So schools are being taught citizenship in PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education ). Why Citizenship is being taught

There are many websites that can tell you more about Citizenship. Here are come. (THESE ARE NOT HYPERLINKS) Websites
