What is Nurse Anesthetists ? is a nurse who specializes in the administration of anesthesia.

Education Bachelor of Science in Nursing or appropriate baccalaureate degree Pass Registered Nurse exam Minimumof one yearexperienceas a registered nurse in an acute caresetting Graduateprograms for CRNA takes 2-3years Pass the national certificationexamination

What do CRNA do? Do a physical assessment of the patient before and after surgery. Administers anesthesia Staywith their patients through the entire surgery/procedure. Monitor body function and individually modifying the anesthetic to ensure maximum safety and comfort during surgery. CRNA’s oversee recovery from anesthesia after surgery in the recovery room.
