Civil Protection aims at improving its efficiency through the organization of new Civil Protection Territorial Garrisons (CPTG) and the implementation of those currently under construction. CPTGs will be located on the basis of an in-depth knowledge of risks on regional territory. CPTGs will guarantee immediate territorial actions in order to: make emergency plans effective and efficient; have a real-time information on the available resources provided by all authorities for the implementation of emergency actions; control the effectiveness of the emergency plan. Civil Protection Territorial Garrisons (CPTG)

Management of relevant emergencies expected in Campania Region is approached through an efficient interaction of all the structures of the System of Regional Civil Protection. The coordination and support of Municipal and Provincial Operational Offices (CCS, COM, COC) will be provided by Territorial Garrisons which will be operationally largely self sufficient. Territorial Garrisons are coordinated and controlled by the Joint Regional Operational Office (SORU)

The role of CPTGs will be fundamental for the management of rilevant risk areas of Campania Region (Mt. Vesuvius, Campi Flegrei, Ischia, River Sarno Basin, Regi Lagni Basin) Civil Protection Territorial Garrisons (CPTG) In particular, CPTGs have the following objectives: Collection of all the available information on possible events and their characterization; Knowledge of exposed value and evaluation of expected damage; Definition of an information framework for the management of such data; Sharing of these databases among all involved authorities; Identification of an unique methodology for the definition of damage scenarios and civil protection plans.

How the AMRA Irpinia seismic network is fit into the Campania Civil Protection scheme? Real time focal data on M>2.5 earthquakes to SORU and CPTGs Real time shake maps and expected damage to SORU and CPTGs Early warning to Firemen barracks, Hospitals and life lines
