My 3 Favorite Planets By: Erin Thomas

Dedicate Page My mom, Kimberly Thomas. Thank you for creating me!!!

There are 9 planets in our solar system: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. I think there are three planets that are special: Mercury, Earth, and Jupiter.

Mercury Mercury is the first planet from the sun in our solar system. It was named by the Romans after the fleet-footed messenger of the gods, because it seemed to move more quickly than any other planet. It is the closest planet to the Sun, and second smallest planet in the solar system.

Jupiter This planet is called Jupiter. It is the 5th planet from the Sun. Jupiter is also the biggest planet. If you compare Jupiter to Earth, you could fit 318 Earths in Jupiter. Jupiter is the fourth brightest object in the sky after the Sun.

Earth This planet is called Earth The Earth has four layers: the crust, mantle, inner core, and outer core. Earth is the only planet that has life. It has water, air, and land. It is mostly covered with water.
