Course Objectives to help Ss acquire a comprehensive understanding of Practical English Writing; to equip them with the various writing techniques involved; to enable them to produce the commonly used documents as needed by applying the techniques acquired; to enhance their English proficiency by integrating various skills in the writing class; to develop their team spirit by offering them opportunities to work with peers;
7. Course Contents 1). Daily communication (thank-you letters, letters of invitation/congratulations, /complaints and adjustment/sympathy and apology…) 2).Job hunting (résumé, application letters for jobs, recommendation letters, letters of request and inquiry) Ⅰ. Course Description
3). Studying abroad (résumé, application letters for further study, for scholarship, personal statement, recommendation letters) 4). Academic writing (outline, summary, quotation cards, abstract, research paper) 5). Scientific projects ( progress report, lab report, trip report) 6). Writing on the test( diagram writing, argumentative essay writing)
