6 th and 7 th Grade Stuff YOU Should Know!

If a ball is sitting at the top of a hill, that ball has potential energy. Once the ball is rolling down that hill, the energy changes from potential to kinetic energy. An earthquake may produce a tsunami, a powerful wave that can travel for hundreds of miles at very fast speeds and produce a great deal of damage on the shoreline.

Another name for mountains being formed by folding is compression. Density = mass x volume. The formula for finding the volume of a rectangular prism is height x width x base. A graduated cylinder may be used to find the volume of an irregular object.
