Through Your Choices The right support for what you want to do.

Through Your Choices What we do. Help you get the right support for your social activities. Let you be the one that chooses. Make things happen for you. Have fun with meaningful activities. The support can be 1 to 1 or in a group its up to you. Creating natural connections within your own community.

Through Your Choices T.Y.C started as a youth club way back in 2001 we found that there was nothing to do on an evening for young people with learning disabilities in the Wetherby area, So we started T.Y.C We needed to move on with this as our members were getting older telling us they wanted to do more things in their own community.

Though Your Choices We created a group for young adults to be able to do all the things the members wanted to do, Go to the pub Go watch a movie Go out for meals Meet different people With the personalisation agenda coming in this was the way we moved it forward, Through personal budget or self funding we can offer you a safe place to be with good support that means you can go in to the world and do the things you want to do.

Tuesday Karaoke at the Black Bull Wetherby. The members now go out and about and join in with the community and enjoy every minute.

Through Your Choices Some things people have said about Through Your Choices; ‘Daisy loves to come out without her family and its great she can get together with her friends in an age appropriate place.’ ‘I didn’t have anything to do on an evening, then I found out about T.Y.C, Its ace to meet my new friends and have a drink and a chat’ ‘Its great to be able to look at T.Y.C facebook page to see what they are doing that week and if I want to go I ring to tell them and they sort everything out for me to be able to come’

Through Your Choices What we can offer. 1 to 1 support or group sessions. Find the right support for you. Find out what you want to do Then make this happen for you and help you to connect with people who have the same interests as you.

Through Your Choices How we do this We will spend time getting to know you and create plans for what you would like to achieve We will gather information from previous plans you have made and your support plan We meet regularly with you, your circle of support and the people supporting through TYC to talk about how things are going and what is working well for you.
