Project Summary Using to Create a Classroom Website By Eddie Mathews EDTC 6329: Select Topics in Educational Technology Instructor: Dr. Butler
Ultimate Goal of Project The ultimate goal of my learning object project is to help high school teachers in Kerrville ISD use a self-guided web-based solution to increase communication and collaboration with the students in their classroom.
Learning Object Project Criteria If my ultimate project goal is to be realized, then my learning object must meet the following criteria:

Project Goal Revised The learning object is designed for a group of ten high school teachers at Kerrville ISD who want to create a classroom-based website with Google Sites and use it to increase communicate and collaboration with their students.
Project Accomplishments I identified six steps that would need to be accomplished in order to complete the project goal:

Rationale for Instructional Design After determining the learning goals and choosing Google Sites for my instructional design, it was time to select the mode of delivery for my learning object.
Rationale for Instructional Design I chose to create a website to help teachers learn how to use Google Sites to create a classroom-based website
Rationale for Instructional Design Let’s take a closer look!
Rationale for Instructional Design Multimedia Example: Each lesson contains a lesson overview A video tutorial is embedded in the web page A self-evaluating quiz is included
Rationale for Instructional Design Lesson Overview: Each lesson overview explains what the lesson is about The lesson objectives are clearly identified Screen shots are provided with arrows and labels
Rationale for Instructional Design Video Tutorial: Each video is embedded on lesson web page Calls outs help to guide learner to key information Zoom and pan features are used
Rationale for Instructional Design Lesson Quiz: Each quiz reviews key lesson information Hyperlinks are used to reveal answers or return to main page
