5/6/2013 Standards: 10 (Organic Chem) Objectives: ● Memorize Alkanes with 1-10 carbons. ● Students will be able to recognize types of organic formulas. DO NOW: 1. Pick up your papers on side and back counters. 2. Write the name, molecular formula, and condensed structural formula for alkanes with 1-10 carbons. We will have a quick responder quiz right after doing this as guided practice. (Chart p. 700) HOMEWORK: 1. Memorize the names of the alkanes with carbons (Organic Chem Ch 22.1, p. 700) for short quiz tomorrow. (Chart p. 700) ===========================================================

What would we have to do without if there were no organic compounds?

Get you test (# will be on scantron) from front of room. 3. Use one or more 8.5"x11" pieces of paper for your answers 4. Copy problem from test and only the correct answer, with your name, date, and period in the top right corner of the paper: Calc Problems: Given, Find & calculation Non-Calc Probs: Copy problem word for word, give page# from book and coherent explanation of why that page# explains the answer. 4. When done: (a) staple your scantron to the back of your paper. (b) Return your test and make sure it is in CORRECT numeric ORDER and neatly stacked. SILENCE
