Protagonist And Antagonist Poppy Mr.Ocax

Literary Devices Foreshadowing Foreshadowing means to hint at what is going to happen. Example: “Poppy put the quill back in her sash, she was hoping she would never have to use it.” Onomatopoeia Onomatopoeia is the sound occurring throughout the story. Example: “Whoosh! Mr. Ocax dove in at Poppy.”

Literary Devices Simile Simile means to compare things using “like” or “as”. Example: “The quill was like a sword.” Literary Devices Foreshadowing Foreshadowing means to hint at what is going to happen. Onomatopoeia Onomatopoeia means the sound occurring throughout the story. Simile Simile means to compare things using “like” or “as”.

Point of View Point of View is where the author tells it from a characters perspective. In Poppy, Mr. Ocax and Poppy are telling the story. When they are changing perspective in Poppy, they will ether start a new paragraph or they will put something like this: * * *.

Setting Time: Present Place: Dimwood Forest, Gray House, New House, Bannock Hill, Glitter Creek, Cornfield, Ereth’s Log, Mr. Ocax’s Watching Tree, and Tar Road.

Climax and Conflict Climax Climax is the most exciting or scariest part of the story. In Poppy, it is when she is fighting Mr. Ocax with the quill. Conflict Conflict is the problem in the story. In Poppy, Mr. Ocax wanted to eat Poppy. Also, Mr. Ocax won’t let Poppy and her family move to New House.
