Basics Before You Begin  Decide on which pathway(s) in the Human Services Cluster that fits your school  Go to KSDE website-Find the design template for Early Childhood, Family and Community Services and Consumer Services Pathway  Compare VE-2 Classes to Career Pathway classes  Check competency sheets ( Also look at Pathway Guidance document- which can be located at 

Basics Continued  Make contact with the person in your district that does the course mapping. Tell them to beware that you will need their help.  Make sure that you know who is going to do the entry of the application. If it is you, make sure that you get the approval from administration to be allowed to enter on the application. Approval must be given to KSDE before you can start.  If you are going to do the entry information, get your password and id set up.  Develop your pathway with grade level, courses, and sequence of courses.

Getting Started  is the site where you find the CCPSA.  Log in and look around the document– note that help is available from the help desk.  Make sure that you have had your courses mapped.  Follow the checklist.  I found it helpful to have a working paper copy to help keep things straight  Share the workload with another CTE teacher, your counselor and or administrator

Working on Pathway App  Help desk is available to answer questions  Save at the end of a session  Double check courses  Go through each section- note that comments are given if you did not complete an aspect of the section.

After Your Done Release the document Call / your sup to tell that person to send it on. I always double check Check status online Don’t get upset if you get a no and have to fix something Best Wishes
