Renewal

Sharpen the Saw It’s “Me Time” Habit 7

“The time to repair the roof is when the sun is shining.” President J.F. Kennedy Many teenagers feel imbalanced, stressed-out, and/or empty inside. If that describes you, you’re going to love Habit 7 Why do we call it, “Sharpen the Saw”? Page 206 The Man in the Woods

Someday you may find that… You were so busy driving your car that you didn’t take time to fill up with gas. You have been too busy living to take time to renew yourself. Habit 7 is all about keeping your personal self sharp so you can better deal with life. You were so busy driving your car that you didn’t take time to fill up with gas. You have been too busy living to take time to renew yourself. Habit 7 is all about keeping your personal self sharp so you can better deal with life.

Regularly renew & strengthening the 4 key dimensions of your life: Your… 1.Body: The Physical Dimension Exercise, eat healthy, sleep well, relax 2. Brain: The Mental Dimension Read, educate, write, learn new skills 3. Heart: The Emotional Dimension Build relationships (RBA, PBA), give service, laugh 4. Soul: The Spiritual Dimension Meditate, keep a journal, pray, take in quality media.

Balance is Better How you do in one dimension of your life will affect the other three. How you do in one dimension of your life will affect the other three.

Take Time for a Time-Out Just like a car, you too need regular tune-ups and oil changes. You need time out to rejuenate the best thing you’ve got going for yourself…You! You need time to relax and unstring your bow, time to treat yourself to a little tender loving care. This is what sharpening the saw is all about.
