What is Nutrition? Every boy and girl has nutrition. It is the process of HEALTHY EATING AND DRINKING with HEALTHY LIVING. Why do we need NUTRITION? SO THAT OUR BODIES ARE HEALTHY!! What are some things that our body needs? 1. Good Food 2. Water 3. Exercise 4. Cleanliness

HEALTHY LIVING- Need to Know Good Foods. What do we need from good foods? o Proteins, carbs., fats, vitamins, minerals… Proteins- Help body grow (Ex.: Milk, eggs, meats) Carbohydrates- Gives Energy (Cereal, Potatos, Bread) Fats- Keeps skin healthy (Ex: ice cream, mayo., butter) Vitamins- Helps muscles grow (Ex: fish, cereal, meat) Minerals-builds teeth and bones (Meat, eggs, fish) VEGETABLES have vitamins, minerals, fiber,
