Abstract Instructions Information for authors The Scientific Committee invites authors to submit abstracts to be considered for inclusion in the Scientific Program. Participants wishing to contribute to the Scientific Program of the Meeting are kindly requested to submit their abstracts before March 10, 2007 together with the registration form and the registration fee of at least one author (Presenting). The abstract will be published in a regular issue of the journal Neuropeptides. Guidelines for Submission of Abstracts All abstracts must be submitted electronically by March 10, The fonts should be at least 10-point, Times New Roman or Arial. The abstract title should be printed in bold printing. Do not use capital letters and uncommon abbreviations and include the animal species or preparation.. Authors’ names should appear with initials of first and middle names first (i.e.: J M Smith,). Separate names of multiple authors with commas. Please indicate presenting author by underlying his/her name. Omit titles and degrees. Please provide name of institution and city, not full address. Acknowledge the funding of the work Single space all typing. Do not leave blank lines. Use standard abbreviations. Place a special or unusual abbreviation in parenthesis after the full word the first time it appears. Use generic names of drugs. Express numbers as numerals rather than words. The abstract text should not exceed 350 words. Tables may be included if they fit the abstract box. Explain any abbreviation in the text at its first use. Do not use abbreviations that are used once. Structure the text of the abstracts in 4 paragraphs for Background and Aims, Methods, Results and Conclusions. Do not include phrases such as "the results will be presented and discussed". In the text of the abstract, authors’ names or the institutions should NOT be mentioned. Abstracts will be accepted under the condition that one, at least, author will be registered to the Meeting. In case of non-acceptance or if the author decides to withdraw his/her participation, the registration fees will be refunded. Requests for refunds should be addressed to the Meeting’s Secretariat until April 1st, There would be no refunds after that date. The Meeting Secretariat will acknowledge receipt of abstracts. Please indicate your preference on the type of presentation. The Scientific Committee has the right of the final decision on all abstract presentations. The Scientific Committee’s decision about acceptance of the abstracts will be announced to their authors prior to March 25, If you have not received an answer until the above date, please contact the Meeting Secretariat.
