Strong Schools, Strong Communities Strategic Plan Implementation Process and Roles Saint Paul Public Schools has designed the following process and roles to successfully implement its strategic plan over the next three years (2011– 2014). The groups below will have the following clearly defined roles and areas of responsibility. Board of Education The Saint Paul Public Schools Board of Education meets regularly to monitor the progress made toward implementation. In March 2011, they unanimously approved the overall strategic plan framework, in keeping with district policies and priorities. Implementation Team The Superintendent’s Cabinet will act as the implementation team responsible for ensuring the processes and practices necessary to move the work forward are completed in keeping with the timeline outlined at right. The cabinet will be supported by a strategic plan project coordinator and project staff. Action Teams The Action Teams led by district facilitators with representation from SPPS staff, family Board of Education and community members. The Strategic Plan provides framework for Action Teams to follow in implementation. Action teams will review information specific to their areas and will review evidence-based practices, local assets and options for service. Action teams will develop recommendations for implementation, which will be submitted to the Superintendent for consideration. How: Set framework and timeline for implementation of Strong Schools, Strong Communities strategic plan in keeping with district policies and priorities.
