Cap & Gown Delivery Friday, May 13 10:30 am SHS Cafeteria If your senior’s name appears on the “not clear” list for fines or lost textbooks, they will not be allowed to pick up cap and gown until record is cleared.

Scholarship Information Due Friday, May 20 Turn in online or at the College/Career Center – Mr. Mitchell Online Form We will compile a list of Scholarships and Awards received as of May 20 for the Recognition Ceremony as well as create an insert for our graduation program. We depend on you or your senior to provide us with this information.
Baccalaureate Sunday, May 22 5:00 pm – SHS Gym All students participating in the Baccalaureate Ceremony will meet in the SHS library no later than 4:30 pm. Graduation cap, tassel, gown and SHS stole will be worn over the clothing. NOTE: Baccalaureate is not mandatory, but it is a nice addition to the graduation events. Baccalaureate practice: Thursday, May 19 at 8:00 am in the SHS Gym
Final Senior Walk Friday, May 27 11:00 am SHS Cafeteria (parents/guardians meet outside the library doors)
Graduation Mtg, Recognition/Capping Ceremony Practice & 2016 Senior Favorites Pictures Tuesday, May 31 10:00 am– SHS Gym All students are required to attend this meeting. Final 2016 Senior Picture and Favorites pictures will be taken. These pictures will be shown at a pre- graduation slide show on June 3.
MANDATORY Graduation Rehearsal Wednesday, June 1 9:30 am Sunnyvale 1 st Baptist Church This practice is MANDATORY! Seniors are required to attend if they wish to participate in graduation ceremony on Friday, June 3.
Graduation Rehearsal Graduation is a voluntary ceremony. No one is required to participate in the ceremony in order to receive a diploma. The administration also reserves the right to deny any student from participating in the ceremony. All students who plan to participate in the graduation ceremony must attend the mandatory rehearsal. Students must follow school dress and grooming guidelines in order to participate in the practice and ceremony.
Senior Academic Recognition/ Capping Ceremony Thursday, June 2, :30 pm - SHS Gym All students participating in the Senior Recognition/Capping Ceremony will meet in the SHS library no later than 6 pm. Graduation cap, tassel, gown and SHS stole will be worn over the clothing.
Capping Ceremony The Ceremony will mark a senior’s academic achievement and continued commitment to learning. Each graduating senior will choose a special person – parent, grandparent, teacher, or friend – to place the cap upon his or her head.
Senior Recognition is designed to recognize each senior for their achievements during the year. It will include numerous academic honors such as: National Honor Society High School Project Distinguished Plan Honor Graduate Top Ten Percent Salutatorian and Valedictorian. College, state and local scholarships will be announced. Those who have enlisted in the armed services will be recognized. Senior Academic Recognition
Graduation Ceremony Friday, June 3, :00 pm - Sunnyvale First Baptist Church All students participating in the graduation ceremony will meet at Sunnyvale First Baptist Church no later than 3:30 pm. Graduation cap, tassel, gown and 2016 SHS stole will be worn over the clothing.

Senior Collage No larger than 16 x 20 Narrow frame – preferably black as not to distract from collage or other collages. Easel to support framed collage – Collages will be set on tables for viewing. Please provide easel.
Cap & Gown Announcements Seniors filled out measurement card at the end of August. Required to buy cap, gown and tassel. Jostens Student Center 4939 Olson Drive, Suite 300 Dallas, Texas (214) Showroom Hours: Monday - Thursday 3:00 to 6:00. Cap and gowns will be delivered on Friday, May 13. If your seniors name appears on the “not clear” list for fines or lost textbooks, they will not be allowed to pick up cap and gown until record is cleared.
Senior Ads Senior ads are due, completed, to the yearbook staff by Nov 20 Contact Mrs. Vanek with questions. See SHS High School website.
Credits Needed Check to make sure your senior has completed credit check. Check with your senior weekly on progress in their classes in order to graduate on June 3, 2016!

Name on Diploma Seniors will check the name and spelling that will be on their diploma on Thursday, September 25, during activity period. We will use first and last name only unless we have written consent from you to use a middle name in place of their first name. Students will sign-off on SPELLING and PUNCTUATION.
