Blue Ridge Region contains the start Appalachian Trail (AT) at Springer Mountain (stretches for 2,144 miles from GA to ME) Amicalola Falls = largest waterfall in GA (over 700 ft.) Other points of interest = Tallulah Gorge (1,000 ft) & the city of Helen (Alpine Village) Cities include Dahlonega, Helen, Blairsville, and Hiawassee

Underneath the surface in the Piedmont, areas of bedrock (solid rock) consisting of mostly granite, Marble can be found Home to GA’s state capital, Atlanta Other cities include: Atlanta, Athens, Gainesville, Augusta Macon and Columbus
