1. Avoid using technology just because it is “new” or “cool”. 2. Define the technology tool’s purpose to make sure it complements the activity and learning outcome. 3. Align the tool with your teaching style. 4. Try to utilize one technology tool that engages students outside of the classroom. Staying in front of your students between classes, engages them during class. 5. Using technology requires preparation and practice, so don’t just wing it! 6. ALWAYS have a Plan B ready.
