Responding to needs of Alliance Members: –Public education about nonprofits –#1 challenge of our members: fundraising Needs of Philanthropic Community –AZ Ranks 40th for average charitable donations –Reduce pressure on institutional donors National Trend of Online Giving Days –Minnesota – launched in $70 million to date raised –Colorado – launched in 2010 – over $36 million to date raised
2013 Campaign Results 8,584 Donors and $928,541 Nonprofits: –647 received donations (80% of the 807 registered) –Media of $395; 25% raised $1,000 or more that day –Continued raising money after Arizona Gives Day –75% of organizations that raised money said they received donations they would not otherwise have received and 77% said they had attracted new donors
