What contributes to stress and anxiety? During adolescence the human body goes through physical and hormonal changes as it matures. Adolescence is also a time of increased external pressure and responsibility in the form of school and familial obligations and expectations. Normal maturation along with increased responsibilities can create stress and anxiety in high school students which at times may be difficult to manage.
