2 2 Major progress since the last meeting series (1) l New initiatives progressing well l Munich Summit l Real World Engineering Projects l TryEngineering soaring l 4-fold increase in popularity l University search in 15 countries l Translation into 6 languages l New trivia game l Discussions with Eta Kappa Nu

3 3 Major progress since the last meeting series (2) l Hiring of a university-level manager l Selection of a new Director Representative to ABET l We are doing very well with TISP

4 4 Eta Kappa Nu l We are presenting the Eta Kappa Nu item to RAB and the BoD l Complex and sensitive issue l In the last minute, the item converted from a discussion item to request for due diligence funding of $250K l A lot of work between now and November

5 5 Policy Papers l The Accreditation Policy paper is progressing well l We will omit licensing references l The First Professional Degree in Engineering paper creates controversy l Will be presented in The Institute in September

6 6 New SEOC l For the first time (ever?) we brought together all Education Chairs from IEEE Regions l An opportunity to identify needs and improve cooperation

7 7 New Editorial Board l We are creating an Editorial Board for IEEE EAB educational portals l TryEngineering.org l Accreditation.org l A committee of OPCOM l Like the Editorial Board of Expert Now

8 8 Internal Affairs l Changes in charters l More to come: CTAA, CEAA, APC l Selection of recommended candidates for VP-EA 2008
