Teacher In Service Program in Uruguay Assessment workshop 2/8/20144
Feedback from Workshop Participants Very good idea to spread scientific concepts through practical implementations. Good approach to technology and engineering Need more workshops like this. Excellent workshop, very pleasant experience. Very happy with the training. Very important for my training. I would like to participate in other workshops. Congratulations to the organizing team. Thank you for the opportunity to participate. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. 2/8/20145
Additional Comments from Participants (1) We should include such practices in formal courses. Include topics such as: robotics, electronics, electricity and pneumatics. Create a network of teachers to exchange experiences. Provide continuity in these activities. Generate new ideas using low cost materials. We must think of new ways of teaching. 2/8/20146
Workshops like this are needed: teachers show much interest in these workshops, we really feel that we are being trained. The workshop teachs practical skills: the teachers we are too theoretical. Workshop presented the typical problems of engineering. This is an unknown field to science teachers. Teachers are not used to solving practical problems. 2/8/20147 Additional Comments from Participants (2)
Lessons Learned In workshop, the teachers need more time for activities. The program may include more of activities The workshops activities might include other topics Take time to think about how to include these activities in the courses 2/8/20148
Challenges Setting up teams to iterate these workshops. Keep the interest of volunteers in this program. Monitoring of activities practices undertaken by teachers. 2/8/20149
