Christmas is just around the corner and once again it’s time for The Grad Council’s Poinsettia’s and Gift cards fund raiser The Poinsettia’s are from a local company and make an excellent gift or wonderful holiday companion if you’re feeling a bit lonely Details and pictures are on the order forms that are available in the mailroom by the sign in book. Orders are due on Wednesday, November 14 th and the plants will be delivered to the school on Thursday, December 6 th.

The Grad Council is also selling gift cards. There are a variety of merchants from Grocery stores and gas to clothing and Spas. If you already purchase from some of these companies please consider buying some shopping cards to support our CHS grads. Orders are due on November 16 and the cards are delivered to the school on December 10 th.

Recently, CTV news ran a story about our very own, Brenden Parker. Brendan, tired of Translink busses failing to pick him up at our local bus stop, decided to take matters in to his own hands and get the message out that people with disabilities deserve respect and the same level of service that other people get.

He could have easily made this issue just about him, and how he was late for his work experience, but he chose instead to try to make sure this wasn’t going to happen to other people with disabilities Way to go Brendan!
