Presentation transcript:

Catalase Enzyme Lab Part 2:

First Page: Title—Be thorough and specific Research Question: IV: DV: Control: Constants: Null Hypothesis: Alternative Hypotheses: ◦ AH1: ◦ AH2:

Second Page: Materials ◦ Be specific regarding the number or amounts needed  Examples:  2 flasks  500ml 35g/1000ml liver catalase solution  250ml 1.5% H 2 O 2  1 black tray filled with water  Etc.

Third Page: Write down the procedures for the experiment. Make sure these procedures are specific enough that someone else could duplicate your exact experiment You may hand write this or type it and tape it in.

Fourth Page: Include the data tables with your recorded results (I recommend using a ruler to make it neat) Control Trialswater displaced (ml)time (sec)rate(ml/sec)

Data Analysis & Graphs Data analysis ◦ Follow the steps from the packet we used in class to complete a full data analysis in excel. ◦ Don’t forget the t- test! Graphs ◦ Create one histogram to compare the curves for each experimental group ◦ Create one line graph to show the various rates of reaction for each experimental group ◦ Make sure to label all axes and include a key for each!

Full Conclusion Provide a full conclusion to discuss the results of this experiment. Use the guidelines provided for the basil seed lab to help you. Refer to my rubric and comments on your first Results & Conclusion assignment to improve.
