Power to Integrate” FIELDBUS FOUNDATION © 2003 Fieldbus Foundation 24 Infraserv Höchst To Host FF-SIS Validation Testing Testing will evaluate devices based on IEC safety standards Effective March 19, 2004, Infraserv Höchst, an independent consultancy located in Frankfurt, Germany, will host Fieldbus Foundation Safety Instrumented Systems (FF-SIS) lab specification validation testing during The foundation, in concert with leading device manufacturers and end users, is developing specifications and guidelines complying with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standard (functional safety of electrical/electronic/programmable electronic safety-related systems), and IEC (functional safety: safety instrumented systems for the process industry sector). IEC addresses the application of safety instrumented systems. The FF-SIS development team included: ABB, DuPont, Emerson Process Management, ExxonMobil, HIMA, Honeywell, Invensys/Triconex, Metso Automation, Rockwell Automation, Rotork Control Systems, Saudi Aramco, Shell Global Solutions, Smar, Softing, TÜV and Yokogawa.
