Program guide (1) » Open from:  the ‘WHATS’On Launcher’  the ‘program guide record browser’  the ‘product navigator’ > tab page ‘planning’  the ‘continuity plan’ > ‘file’ menu  the ‘week view’ > ‘file’ menu  the ‘transmission plan for comparing channels’ > ‘file’ menu  the ‘mapping tool’ > ‘file’ menu  the ‘broadcast day browser’ > ‘file’ menu  the ‘transmission browser’> ‘file’ menu  the results screen for a specific issue check > ‘file’ menu  the ‘highlight collection’ screen > ‘links’ menu  the ‘image editor’ > ‘program guide record’ list > right-mouse menu

3. Program guide (3) » When opening for the first time » Program guide records are created » By default status ‘new’ (but can be different according to settings) » No automatic change detection

3. Program guide (4) » Layout program guide navigator  The program guide navigator consists of 3 parts: on the left: the navigator list in the middle: a pane with by default the open program guide record to the right: a pane with by default reference information. This pane can be hidden.

Program guide (5) » Navigator list  In the ‘Program guide navigator’ the user can open one or more entire program guide days one or more individual program guide records (work set) Both can be opened at the same time.  On program guide day level the workflow status is shown Equal to worst workflow status of that day  Possibility to open entire program day for selected program guide records by right clicking on one or more records

Program guide (6) » Workflow status  Select the records to be handled by the press and grant them the status ‘To do’  From now on: automated change detection (detect changes since last look at press info)  Next time the program guide is opened  no ‘New’ indication any more on those records  Enter or modify press information in the middle part of the screen

Program guide (7) » Automatic change detection  If schedule/product info changed  The icon appears on record level  The icon appears next to changed field (if configured to show)  2 options:  Ignore conflict and clear it  Copy changed to press record  Both can be done for all fields in one go for the selected record(s) -> ‘Record’ menu  Or one field at a time -> = ignore = copy

Program guide (8) » Omitted records  If no press info required omit record -> slots not shown in program guide anymore Repair in omitted records gadget (gadgets -> see later) Do not print’ slots are automatically omitted (unless record exists already, in which case the record gets a ‘do not print’ status)

Publishing a program guide day (1) » Publish from:  ‘ day’ menu  Right mouse menu from program guide day/workset  Via ‘Broadcast day browser’ » Program guide day status to “Published” » Program guide record statusses of this day to “Published ” Records with status ‘omited’, ‘deleted’ & ‘do not print’ remain untouched

Synchronize program guide » Week schedule » ‘ Tools’ menu » Continuity » ‘ Related’ menu » Copies all transmission and press sheet information to records for the selected transmission (or all if none are selected) » For which fields -> configured in ‘program guide configuration’ (see later)

Program guide synchronization service » Automated action of ‘synchronize program guide records’ command  Runs at specific moment  Can synchronize records for a number of broadcast days in the future
