WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A CHRISTIAN? D. Gondongwe

Acts 11:26 26 and when he found him, he brought him to Antioch. So for a whole year Barnabas and Saul met with the church and taught great numbers of people. The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch.

1.To be a Christian one must be saved

John 3:5 5 Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit.

2.To be a true Christian one must be surrendered

John 4:34 34 "My food," said Jesus, "is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work.

Luke 22:42 42 "Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done."

Matt 4: "Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men." 20 At once they left their nets and followed him.

3.To be a true Christian one must be a servant

John 5: Jesus said to them, "My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I, too, am working."

John 9:4-5 4 As long as it is day, we must do the work of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work.

Acts 10:38 38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good…
