THE LETTER OF INQUIRY To inquire is to ask. USES:  To request information from a source (ex: for writing a paper)  To ask for an appointment (ex: a job interview)  To ask for a favor (ex: a donation)

THE LETTER OF COMPLIMENT To compliment is to offer thanks or appreciation. USES:  To thank someone professionally (ex: for an interview)  To thank someone you don’t know well (ex: for help)  To compliment someone (ex: for a contribution)

THE LETTER OF COMPLAINT To complain is to express dissatisfaction or unhappiness. USES:  To politely show upset (ex: to a rude employee )  To return something (ex: a product you are dissatisfied with)
