Letter Writing Kit. Students use letter writing paper to create their own personal letters and address envelopes. If kit runs out of writing paper or envelopes please let the school know.

Letter writing activities might include. Write a letter home from a camping trip. Describe the camp site and how you are enjoying the experience. Create an invitation for a ‘theme’ party Eg: ‘Moon monsters’ ‘Sea creatures’ ‘Super heroes’ ‘Wild West’ ‘Fairies and Fables’ ‘Witches and Goblins. Write a letter to Santa, or his elves, asking about life in the North Pole. Include other questions that you would like to know about, eg: making toys, flying in a sleigh, or keeping reindeer Write a letter to a friend telling them about a new computer game that they also might enjoy playing.

A mining company is requesting permission to mine in a remote bush land. You are aware that a rare species exists in that area, one of few left in the world. Write a letter to the mining company to try to persuade them not to mine in this area, and the importance of protecting this rare species. Write a letter to the local plant nursery to find out which native plants should be grown in your local area. Write a letter to a family member about something interesting you have been learning about at school.
