Sample situations: Student displays exceptional grasp of course material, well-beyond readiness of the average learner. How can you personalize her learning?

Situation: Learner demonstrates a lack of interest in course material – assignments are submitted late, incomplete, below what you believe to be his performance level. What do you do?

Situation: After initial readiness assessment, learner displays significant gaps in knowledge required for current course. How do you address the situation?

Situation: Learner demonstrates learning disabilities – while contributions in class seem on par with other learners, assessment activities (tests and assignments) reveals learner is not grasping what is expected, or able to duplicate knowledge she demonstrates during class discussions. What do you do?
