Terrain Description -mixed forest -many tracks and pathes; rides and little pathes are not good visible, when you cross them (due to the weather conditions in Austria) -characterized by: shallow depressions and pits, flat hills -various thickets (examples on the home page): -dark green: very difficult to run, impassable -middle green: difficult to run -green: slow running -undergrowth: slow and difficult running -vineyard: shows the direction of running -in general: forest has very good and fast-running qualities

 Some broken down fences in the area; they are printed on the map, but not marked in the forest  Long distance: dangerous cliff near a control; it is marked with red white ribbons  Depressions and small depressions sometimes filled with water  Vineyards are only allowed to pass in the direction of planting  Cultivated area: running is only allowed on the edge Attention

Some (Very few) controls are positioned about 30m from each other. They have different control descriptions. Terrain features are distinctly different. The terrain features may in a stressed situation look similar. Check codes! Always! Also in Middle and Long. Relay men+women - Attention
