 Making Inferences creating reading skills such as:  -Making Predictions -Asking Questions -Visualizing the Text - Comprehend -Drawing on Prior Knowledge

 Purpose: Create a shared consistency in learning goals among different states that will promote the literacy skills and concepts required for college and career readiness in multiple disciplines..  The standards from grade to grade are steps that build on one another to reach the top.

 CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RI.3.1 Ask and answer questions to demonstrate understanding of a text, referring explicitly to the text as the basis for the answers. CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RI.3.1
