VALUE is the artistic term for lightness and darkness. “South Seneca Falcons Love To Celebrate Victories ”

When using only black and white, values range from white, to shades of gray, to black… Such as in a VALUE SCALE.

When using color, a TINT is a LIGHTER VALUE of the color (White mixed with color)

And a SHADE is a DARKER VALUE of the color (Black mixed with color)

Using a FULL RANGE OF VALUES creates interest and a good artwork!
