As highlighted previously, excess biomass production will be first minimized by appropriate operational management of the bioreactors The cost of biomass disposal amounts to about half the cost of wastewater treatment. Note: Aeration, if used, counts for almost up to half of the rest of the cost. Actually if there was no aeration, the capital cost, including the cost of land, would be very high.
