Our product, hats will be distributed in New York. The 2012 Ford Transit Connect will be used as our efficient fossil fuel option. The Solar Prius is our alternative fuel option for distributing our product.

Fossil Fuel Option 2012 Ford Transit Connect City-22mpg Highway-27mpg Cost:$22,035 Gas Engine Vs. GMC Savanna Cargo Van City-15mpgHighway-20mpg Cost:$25,090 Diesel Engine The Ford Transit Connect is an efficient vehicle for our company because of the large cargo space, maneuverability and the fuel efficiency. Since we will be distributing in New York, the smaller van will be a viable option for distributing hats. A huge 18 wheeler is unnecessary since our product is small and we wont be traveling huge distances. Diesel gas is more expensive than gasoline on average by 30 cents. The Transit Connect only costs 22,035$, while the less efficient Savanna Cargo costs $3,000 more, plus the added cost of the expensive diesel fuel. The Transit Connect is a new model so the cost of owning the vehicle is unknown. Future models will be equipped with Ecoboost –Ecoboost will increase fuel efficiency by 20% and reduce greenhouse emissions by 15%.
