MAJOR EVENTS, OPENINGS & GROUNDBREAKINGS National Trails Month (June) Pennsylvania Environmental Council sponsored bike rides and walks on various trails to promote awareness of the Circuit Spring Garden Street Pop-up Greenway (September) Pop-up event demonstrating what benefits the greenway would bring to the neighborhood Schuylkill Banks Boardwalk (October) Three day opening celebration for the iconic Boardwalk which extends the popular Schuylkill River Trail Baxter Trail Groundbreaking (October) Trail which will provide an important, off-road link between Pennypack Park on the Delaware River and Pleasant Hill Park Manayunk Bridge Groundbreaking (October) Restoration project which will connect the Cynwyd Heritage Trail in Lower Merion with the Schuylkill River Trail and Main Street Manayunk
