Article Report Introduction – sum up topic and what was covered in two articles. 1 st body – Focus on details of what they both shared. For example, “The two articles on stroke both defined ‘global aphasia.” The one from the American Heart Association explained what aphasia meant in general terms and how it applied to the brain trauma of a stroke. The other was written by Karen, the stroke victim’s wife, and she focused on how the type of aphasia her husband experienced made it impossible for him to recognize most language, written or verbal. She focused on what it meant to them as a family not just the definition.” Go on to develop 3-4 key similarities.

Artcile Report cont’d 2 nd body – focus is on differences. – Explain what was different in the two articles. – For example, “The first article discussed the different types of ruptures and blockages that can result in a stroke. It then identified the different parts of the brain that can be affected and what is impacted from each part. The second article explained what was the cause of the man’s stroke, a blog clot, but then went into how the wife knew her husband was in trouble and taking him to the hospital and receiving the diagnosis.” – Go on to discuss 2-3 more differences. – Select the ones that matter the most to you or that strike you as most important.
