Music Technology MP3 players have revolutionized the way we listen to music IPods have allowed us to take every song we have ever heard with us anywhere and at any time IPods have almost completely phased out music on the compact disc, because of their mass amounts of storage, ability to play video’s, and their small size The IPod touch allows us to access the internet, play games, and has a wide variety of apps all specially made for the touch screen interface

Computers We are currently reaching a point where computer technology is growing very rapidly Hard disk storage capacities are massive Processors with 8 or more cores will allows computers to multitask much more efficiently and faster than single and dual core processors Multiple monitors, sound systems, video and sound cards, and other accessories allow you to have a home theater system right in front of you. PC’s can run the same games that we see on consoles, some times even with better graphics, and there is always the ability to modify the games

Medicine Pill camera’s allow the doctor to get a thorough look at the patient’s digestive tract without an invasive surgery As pill camera’s get smaller, the may even be used in the blood stream Scientists are developing substitutes for blood, so that a person in dire need of a blood transfusion can get it on time right away, no matter how rare their blood type is Devices that can be implanted to deliver medication automatically A programmed microchip automatically releases the set dose at the same times every dosing period, and they can be pre-loaded with up to 100 doses

Cars Since the demand for fossil fuels has skyrocketed in the past few years, automakers have started to make more fuel efficient cars There are many vehicles that can now run on E85 Some companies are finally producing successful electric cars Hybrids have become very popular recently Hydrogen fuel cell vehicles will burn H2 and only produce water Most diesel vehicles can run on biodiesel without any conversions Smaller cars, such as the Mercedes Smart Four-Two get incredible gas mileage

Conclusion In the last decade, we have made many advancements as far as technology goes I have only touched the tip of the iceberg on new technologies These new technologies we have will only continue to become more advanced as time goes on
