Civil Affairs Information Brief History - Branch traces back to expansion of the War Department during WWII - AUG 1955, CA Military Government Branch became the USAR Branch - OCT 1959, became CA Branch - CA Regiment established in 1987 - Falls under USACAPOC / USASOC

Civil Affairs Information Brief Civil Military Operations The activities of a commander that establish, maintain, influence, or exploit relations between military forces, government and non government civilian organizations and authorities, and the civilian populace in a friendly, neutral, or hostile area of operations in order to facilitate military operations and consolidate and achieve U.S. objectives.
