Characterization Trait (Just one) Specific Scene Explanation of Trait AND Scene Bossy Boring Argumentative Funny Loyal Trusting Trustworthy Dedicated

Quote Analysis Why is this quote important?!?! 3 sentence min What does it reveal about a character? What does it reveal about the plot? How does it connect to the theme? Can you connect to it? Does it change the way you feel about a character/situation? Is it surprising?

Textual Evidence First, answer in your own words. Second, provide a specific scene to prove your answer true, Third, explain how the scene proves your answer true.

Title Significance Is the title significant? Yes, EXPLAIN! No, EXPLAIN and offer something better!!! THREE sentence minimum unless otherwise noted.

Genre Identification Use specific language from the notes Offer specific examples that connect to the notes. Comedy – Usually a happy ending. Actually explain why the ending is happy.

Quote Connection Spell everything CORRECTLY. Connect in detail. Answer three sentences (not including the quote) unless otherwise noted.

Mystery/Suspense The FINAL genre

Mystery/Suspense Centers on a person of authority (usually a detective) trying to solve a mysterious crime. Protagonist using clues, investigation, and logical reasoning “whodunit” suspense = biggest element in films Usually created through visual cues and unusual plot twists
