Humanitarian Coordination Task Team Progress Update May 24 th 2012

 Definition of membership: Ensuring Inclusiveness  Approval of HCTT ToR  Decision on prioritization of preparedness efforts at 20 most disaster-prone districts  Ongoing guidance to LCG DER endorsed clusters on preparedness  Flexible and light coordination structure; i.e. monthly meetings with readiness to ad-hoc discussions as required.

Chair: DMRD, MoFDM Co-chair: UN Resident Coordinator’s Office Clusters’ leads: FAO, UNDP, UNICEF, WFP & IFRC Development Partners: DFID & ECHO NGOs: BDPC INGOs: 3 representatives (currently OXFAM, Care & Solidarites)

 Established to focus on preparedness whilst providing support to the GoB and LCG WGs on response efforts during times of both slow and sudden onset emergencies,  Working closely with the HCTT on all humanitarian coordination related activities/issues while aligned with equivalent LCG WG,  Ensure full inclusion of key humanitarian partners, respecting respective mandates and programme priorities.
